Thunderbolt 4 transfer performance varies depending on the connection mode you use: Direct Connect Mode: The computer recognizes the NAS as a direct-attached external drive. Data is transmitted through physical PCIe lanes, unlocking the peak 40Gbps performance. We highly recommend this mode for speed-intensive workflows like 4K/8K video editing. Network Bridge Mode: When accessing the NAS via an IP address, data must be routed through the operating system's network protocol stack. Actual transfer rates are constrained by the computational overhead of current Intel driver protocols. Note: This is an industry-wide driver limitation. As Intel develops more efficient drivers and integrates them into future system updates, Bridge Mode performance will be continuously enhanced.
UnifyDrive UP6 comes with 16GB of pre-installed memory. SSD storage and higher-capacity memory modules are not included and can be purchased and installed separately according to your needs.
The built-in display serves as the primary interface for system control and status monitoring. You can use it to transfer and back up files, preview content, and perform basic video editing directly on the device—without the need for a laptop, external monitor, or other peripherals.
UP6 is designed to save you time when working with large amounts of media. For example, photographers and video creators often spend hours organizing raw files after a shoot. With UP6, you can simply import your photos or videos, and the built-in AI will automatically organize them by people, scenes, and objects in the background. Later, you can instantly find what you need by searching simple keywords—such as a location or a person’s face—without manually tagging files. All AI processing runs locally on the device, so your data stays private and your transfer speeds remain fast.
