For first-time users, it only takes a quick setup to unlock features like auto-poster matching, movie info display, and smart organization. After following the setup steps, users can immediately begin organizing, downloading, and enjoying their movie collection — the experience feels seamless, just like browsing your own private streaming library.
To begin, launch the UnifyDrive App and navigate to the Homepage > Movie Section. Tap on Get TMDB API KEY and follow the prompt to register for a free API key at www.themoviedb.org.
Click on “Join TMDB” to create a new account, complete the registration form, and verify your email via the confirmation link sent to your inbox. Once logged in, navigate to the top menu bar, click “More”, and select “API Documentation.” Then go to “Settings” > “API” and choose “Yes” to begin the application process.
Select the “Developer Plan” and fill out the application form with the required details. Review and agree to the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Notice of Collection, then click “Subscribe” to proceed. After subscribing, click the provided link to view and copy your newly generated API Key.
Finally, reopen the UnifyDrive App, tap the “Movie” section, and enter the TMDB API Key you just obtained. After entering the key, tap “Test Connection.” Once the connection is successful, you’re ready to enjoy your personalized movie experience — organized, intelligent, and accessible anytime, anywhere.
Tips: Please make sure to create a dedicated folder under My Files for your Movies or TV Shows. This way, every time you download new content, you can keep everything organized in one place for easier access and management.
B. For Users Who Already Have a TMDB API Key:
If you already have a TMDB API Key, simply go to the Download section each time you want to add a new movie or TV show. Paste your download link and click Modify to proceed. Click "New", enter the URL, paste the download link, and click Modify to proceed.
After the download is complete, go to the Movie section > click Add > and select the file you just downloaded to include it in your movie library.
